This may not be the most idyllic beach, but near Bangkok most. Bang Saen is a coastal town just a 1.5 hour drive from Bangkok. Local people often come here to enjoy fresh air and sea breeze. If you want to get out of the city long enough to walk on the beach and eat fresh seafood, Bang Saen is the perfect hint for you.
To get there, take a bus at Ekamai Bus Station or take one of the buses to Pattaya and Nong Mon.
Koh Lan is one of the small islands off the coast, about 7 km from Pataya beach. The island is about 4 km long, 2 km wide. You can find a place to spend the night on the island.
Koh Laan has six beautiful beaches, with fine white sand, crystal clear water. If you are on the island, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a little quiet and private space in the late afternoon or evening. If you want to go to Koh Lan the only way is to take a train or canoe speed.
Hua Hin is described as the busiest beach resort, attracting both locals and foreign tourists. Hua Hin is a prosperous town with many green parks, historic sites, white sands, luxury hotels, bustling night markets, restaurants and bars. Hua Hin is about 200 km away from Bangkok.
Cha-am is even closer to Bangkok than Hua Hin. Cha-am is famous for its long and pristine beaches. Also, come here, do not forget to visit Khao Nang Phanthurat park, caves Wat Cha-am with lying Buddha statue, Santorini park.
Cha-am is approximately 172 km from Bangkok. You can get there by bus or rent a taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
30 km south of Hua Hin, Pranburi is one of the beaches near Bangkok. Pranburi owns a sprawling, quiet beach nestled between Sam Roi Yod National Park. For your convenience, you can rent a car, bicycle or scooter at Pranburi.
It will take you 4 hours to get to Pranburi from Bangkok by bus, or a little faster by car or taxi.
Koh Samet is a beautiful little island, located about 200km southeast of Bangkok. There are famous beaches like Hat Sai Kaew and Ao Thian, hills and national parks. If you like quiet and relaxing, Koh Samet is the ideal hint.
